I can barely believe we're into December and it's the 10th #FoundFreeFri already. Today's free gift is the first in a new series that I have cleverly dubbed 'Before They Were FOUND'. We've unearthed some musical curios from the dusty recesses of our hard drives to bring you an insight into what Kev, Ziggy and myself did before this unholy trilogy began.
First in the series is Mogadon by DRN. In a golden age, long before I spoiled things with my spectacles, a-rhythmic bass and hard work ethic Kev and Ziggy were DRN. Their live shows became the stuff of legend. They made an epic, tortured noise in some of Aberdeen's seediest nightclubs and they also played some gigs. DRN were too hip for something as mundane as recording and after hours of work Kev would frequently switch off his sampler without saving. This track is perhaps one of the few documents that exists of their genius and without further ado I give you Mogadon.
